The New York Boulders played a three-game series at Clover Stadium over the weekend against the Florence Y’alls to start the second half of the season. The Boulders won Friday, 7-4. They lost Saturday, 10-9 in 11 innings. In yesterday’s contest, the Boulders were down 11-3 in the fifth inning when the Y’alls were threatening to score more, with Bryant Flete up with bases loaded and one out…

And that was Jacob Kronberg with the call on the Boulders radio network here on WRCR. The Boulders got out of that jam, but it wasn’t enough, they lost to the Y’alls, 14-6. The Boulders are off today.

It was a battle of East versus West in the Frontier League All-Star game last night. The East, featuring your New York Boulders, triumphed over the West, 8-1. Boulders outfielder David Vinsky, playing DH for the East, blasted a single with an RBI in the win. The Boulders return home tomorrow, when they open a series at Clover Stadium against the Florence Y’alls.

There’s still time for future baseball superstars to join the Boulders’ baseball camp. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht says kids aged 7 through 15 get training and evaluation by professional coaches over several sessions this summer…

The New York Boulders took on the Sussex County Miners in a two-game series in Pomona Friday and Saturday, the last games before the Frontier League’s All-Star break. The Boulders won Friday’s contest, 8-7. On Saturday the score was tied 1-1 in the fifth when the Miners’ third baseman Mikey Reynolds was at the plate…

A double-play to end the inning would stop the bleeding there, but the Boulders would come back and win 6-5, ending the first half of the season on a three-game winning streak and a record of 30-27, within striking distance of a playoff spot. The Frontier League heads into their All-Star break at Wild Things Park in Washington, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, the Boulders are sending left-handed pitcher Danny Wirchansky, and outfielder David Vinsky. The next game the Boulders play will be in Pomona on Friday, when they start a series against the Florence Y’alls (Florence, Kentucky).
