In Frontier League baseball…the New York Boulders played four this weekend against the New Jersey Jackals. They dropped both ends of a doubleheader on Friday, but came back with a win on Saturday. In Sunday’s showdown, Milton Smith Junior came up with no score in the second inning…

And that was John Thompson with the call on the Boulders Radio Network. The Boulders had a comfortable lead in the ninth, and Boulders VP Seth Cantor made his final call…

And the Boulders won it for Seth, who is moving on to a new job. He’s been with the Boulders since before the team even had a home in Pomona. Good luck to you Seth. The final score, again, 9-2. The Boulders are off today.

In Frontier League baseball…the New York Boulders played a doubleheader against the Sussex County Miners yesterday. The Boulders took game one by a score of 5-1. In game two, the Boulders were down a run in the third inning when Marcus Mastrobuoni stepped to the plate…

And that was Marc Ernay with the call on the Boulders Radio Network. Mastrobuoni came up again in the 7th with the bases loaded and delivered a single to win the game, 2-1. The Boulders swept the three-game series, and they’re on a four-game winning streak as they head into today’s doubleheader against the New Jersey Jackals starting at 4:30. In Frontier League baseball…the New York Boulders squeaked out a win yesterday 5-4 against Team Quebec, losing two out of the three-game series over the weekend. The Boulders lost Friday’s contest 8-3 and then dropped Saturday’s game which was settled by home run derby. The game was tied at 6, but Quebec out-homered the Boulders, 10-1. The two teams are tied for second place in the three-team division. Both are three games behind the division-leading Tri-City ValleyCats. The Boulders are off today.
