The New York Boulders lost to the New Jersey Jackals on Friday, 10-6. Saturday’s contest was rained out, but New York bounced back Sunday, scattering 21 hits, four of them home runs, winning 18-10. The Boulders have today off.

Boulders pitcher Brian Rapp is moving on to the Toronto Blue Jays. He’s been assigned to their High-Class A affiliate in Vancouver. In four starts this season the 25 year-old worked 20 innings, struck out 23 and walked eight.

The New York Boulders edged the Sussex County Miners, 1-0 in Pomona last night, completing a sweep in the three-game series. The New York Boulders took on former Met and Yankee Todd Frazier and the first-place Sussex County Miners in Pomona last night for the second game of a three-game series. With two on in the bottom of 7th, the batter was Boulder outfielder Jack Sundberg…

One of the newest Miners is former Met and Yankee Todd Frazier. He’s a two-time MLB All-Star and an MLB Home Run Derby champ. The third baseman is expected to be with the Sussex County Miners and playing against the Boulders Wednesday night. After being released last month from the Pittsburgh Pirates, Frazier hooked up with Team USA and Boulders VP Seth Cantor says he’s using his stay with the Miners to tune up for the Olympics next month in Japan…

Also known as “The Toddfather,” the Toms River, New Jersey, native also had stints with the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, and Texas Rangers.
