After losing the first game of the season on the road against the New Jersey Jackals on Thursday, and Friday’s game postponed until June, the Boulders hosted a two-game set over the weekend at Clover Stadium in Pomona. The Boulders won Saturday’s contest, 13-3. Right-fielder Casey Dana and center fielder Isaac Bellony both went deep for the Boulders. In Sunday’s game, the Boulders jumped out to an early lead in the first inning…

The Boulders announced late Sunday right-fielder Alfredo Marte suffered torn ligaments in his wrist resulting in he need for season-ending surgery. The injury came in the first game of the season Thursday, when he went 2-for-5 against the Jackals. Veteran Nick Gotta has been brought in to replace Marte on the roster.

New York Boulders opened up the season on the road last night at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey to face the Jackals. The Boulders lost to the Jackals, 14-6, done in by a 6-run 6th inning by the Jackals. DH David Vinsky and centerfielder Isaac Bellony both homered for the Boulders. Tonight’s home opener against the Jackals has been cancelled due to the weather, it’ll be made up as part of a doubleheader on June 20th. The Boulders are expected to play tomorrow and Sunday at Clover Stadium in Pomona, weather permitting.
