An Orthodox Jewish school is hinting it may sue the town of Clarkstown after it missed closing on a Nanuet church last month. The Grace Baptist Church in Nanuet is now back on the market for nearly five million dollars, but Clarkstown was informed last week that the Ateres Bais Yaacov Academy claims the town discriminated against them by denying the school's application to make improvements to the historic church. Clarkstown supervisor George Hoehmann says that’s not the case at all…
An attorney for the school told the Journal News they’re not trying to
provoke a court battle but they are prepared to go to court if necessary.
