At least one man was shot Friday afternoon in New City. Clarkstown Police say the shooting occurred around one in the afternoon near W. Burda Place in New City. Police say a 29 year-old man was shot in the face and the back. After driving himself to Nyack Hospital, he was taken to Westchester Medical Center, where he was listed in serious but stable condition. Police say area residents said they heard what sounded like a car accident followed by multiple gunshots. The other vehicle allegedly involved is described as a white sedan. On Saturday, a vehicle of interest in Friday’s shooting was spotted by the NYPD in the Bronx. The car was stopped after a chase by the NYPD, but it is not yet known if there’s a connection to the New City shooting.
