Update: 4/19 10:24am: Clarkstown Police worked yesterday afternoon with the NYPD after a vehicle of interest in Friday’s shooting was observed by the NYPD in the Bronx. The car was stopped by the NYPD, but it is not yet determined whether the occupants of the vehicle had any involvement in the shooting in New City.
Update: 4/17 8:05pm: Police say the 29 year-old victim was shot once in the face and once in the back. He has been transported to Westchester Medical Center and his status is serious but stable.
Earlier: At least one man was shot in an incident this afternoon in New City. Clarkstown Police say the shooting occurred around 1:10 this afternoon W. Burda Place in New City. Police say residents said they heard what sounded like a car accident followed by multiple gunshots. The unidentified victim drive himself to an area hospital where he is being treated. The other vehicle allegedly involved is described as a white sedan. No further description of the car or its occupants were available.
