The Pearl River school district is joining North Rockland in going all-remote. Starting today, Pearl River schools will be doing at-home learning through January 8th, with in-person learning resuming on the 11th. Over in the Nyack School District, they said Friday their middle and high schools will go all-remote until after the winter break, with hybrid learning programs for grades 6-12 returning January 4th. In a letter posted on their website, Nyack Superintendent Dr. James Montesano said the move helps them shift resources so more substitute teachers would be available at the district’s three elementary schools to minimize disruptions for the younger students. South Orangetown is also going all-remote starting Friday through January 8th.
