Cycling enthusiasts are hoping to get a pedestrian-bike path to help them enjoy the entire 18-mile length of Seven Lakes Drive between Sloatsburg and Bear Mountain. The road in Harriman State Park is interrupted by the Route 6 traffic circle, which is off-limits to pedestrians and cyclists. The Palisades Interstate Park Commission has asked the State DOT to put aside $3.1 million to help build the Palisades Trailway Bike Connector.
