Today is the first day of summer, officially it gets here at 4:15 this afternoon. There is a chance of rain Friday through Monday, and that could cool the temperatures a little bit. The heat prompted New York Governor Kathy Hochul to offer free admission to all New York State Parks for today. That includes Rockland Lake State Park in Congers, Tallman Mountain State Park in Sparkill, Bear Mountain State Park, and Lake Tiorati Beach in Harriman State Park.
