Ramapo has been looking at various properties around town they own and considering what to do with them. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht says among them is the former Tilcon quarry site in Suffern, which has already generated some interest, so the town will put it out there to see if there are other ideas…
A committee that had been studying the situation has suggested leaving the Pine Brook property as green space or making it a park, that more study is needed for the Burgess Meredith site, and that the Torne Valley site should be sold. Specht says that won’t happen until all the residents move out.
