The Federal Highway Administration Friday gave the go-ahead to New York City’s controversial congestion pricing plan. That’s according to published reports. The move paves the way for congestion pricing to be implemented by April next year. The plan aims to reduce traffic in the busiest parts of Manhattan south of 60th Street while simultaneously providing added funding for mass transit. A 30-day public review period gives opponents a chance to appeal the decision.
