The former owner of a Rockland bus company found guilty of federal bribery and corruption charges is appealing his conviction. 52 year-old Richard Brega got 50 months in prison in December following a three-week trial. Berga wants a new trial, claiming he was convicted on insufficient evidence. US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Geoffrey Berman says Brega falsely claimed he was maintaining Rockland BOCES buses and bribed a BOCES employee to approve phony invoices.
