North Rockland is mourning the loss of the former mayor of the village of Haverstraw. Anthony Bosico died Saturday. He served as mayor from 1971-75 and 1979-83. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a 68-year member of the Haverstraw Fire Department, where he served as captain. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the George M. Holt Funeral Home on Main Street in Haverstraw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 Saturday morning at Saint Peter’s and Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Broadway. He was 94 years old.
