A funeral service is being held later this month for an original founder of the Rockland Family Shelter, now known as the Center for Safety & Change, which offers programs for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Elisabeth Voigt died this past Sunday night. The Center’s current CEO, Elizabeth Santiago, posted on the group’s website that after founding the organization in 1979, she served on the Board of Directors for 37 years, including two terms as Board President. The service is being held Thursday, May 30th, at Grace Episcopal Church, in Nyack.
