Services are being held tomorrow for a former Rockland County Legislator who passed away late last week. Frank Fornario was a World War II veteran and served as a legislator from the town of Orangetown. Born in Brooklyn, Fornario was the co-founder of the Camp Shanks Memorial, a monument honoring Orangetown’s pivotal role in the second World War. He was elected to the Rockland County Legislature in 1982 and served there for more than two decades. A wake is scheduled for Wednesday, January 3rd, from 5-8pm at the Wyman Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River. A graveside service will take place Thursday, January 4th, at 11AM at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spring Valley. He was 96 years old.
