A GoFundMe has been set up for the North Rockland teen killed after crashing his mini-bike into a snow plow during last week’s snowstorm. In a post on the North Rockland School District’s website, Superintendent Kris Felicello asked the community to keep 15 year-old ninth-grader Aiden Knerr and his family in their thoughts and to join them in mourning and remembering. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. The GoFundMe has so far raised $55,650 of its $60,000 goal. Meanwhile, Stony Point Police remind us that ATVs and Mini-Bikes are not allowed on any roadway in New York State. They say they’ve seen more young people doing that in a dangerous manner, creating a hazard to themselves and the public. Operators of these vehicles could be ticketed and fined and have their vehicles impounded.
