New York’s governor Wednesday announced a $32 million investment to expand the Direct Support Professional micro-credential program offered by SUNY and the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. Governor Kathy Hochul said the funding would allow SUNY to expand the program on campuses where it already exists and add programs at additional campuses to help grow the DSP workforce to support New Yorkers with developmental disabilities.
