Many towns and many Rockland parents got the announcement they were waiting for from the governor yesterday, but is it too late?
Clarkstown’s supervisor George Hoehmann had indicated earlier in the week that it was too late to get camps ready for the summer, while other towns were taking a wait-and-see approach. COVID-19 by the numbers now, the state has confirmed around 373,000 total cases and over 24,000 deaths. In Rockland, the state says we’ve got over 13,200 reported cases, and the Rockland Health Department confirms 650 fatalities here in the county.
