The New York Boulders were looking yesterday to put a little more distance between them and the third place Ottawa Titans in the Eastern Division yesterday at Clover Stadium in Pomona. They split a double header Wednesday after Tuesday’s contest was rained out. In yesterday’s contest, the Titans scored one run early in the first, but then left fielder David Vinsky came up for the Boulders with the bases loaded in the 2nd inning…
And that was Marc Ernay with the call on the Boulders Broadcast Network. The Boulders would go on to win, 9-1. The Boulders remain in second place in the Eastern Division with a 1½-game lead over the Titans, and 3½ behind first-place Quebec. Former Boulders outfielder Stephen Cardullo, a member of the 2014 championship team and the first Boulder to play in the Majors, went 2-for-5 with two runs scored as Designated Hitter, his first pro game in three years. The Boulders head out to Washington, Pennsylvania, to face the Wild Things in a three-game weekend series starting tonight at 7:05pm.
