News 12 said the district is spending almost $91 million from federal COVID funding to make improvements. School District Superintendent Dr. Clarence Ellis told the outlet various options to solve different problems, including lead in the water, are being reviewed. The state Department of Education said they support the state-appointed monitors who are working to ensure progress continues.
