Habitat for Humanity of Rockland is looking for volunteers to help them build houses for needy Rocklanders. They’ve built nine so far and are putting the finishing touches on their tenth, that one located in Hillburn, it just needs a dishwasher. Former County Executive Scott Vanderhoef is the group’s Executive Director, and says one of the ways they help families in need is to find homes that are in disrepair, and take them over…
Vanderhoef was a guest recently on “Suez Update” with Bill Madden. The group’s goal is to build an average of three to five homes each year. For more information visit their website, https://www.HabitatRockland.org.
