The county’s been getting lots of complaints about people breaking the various rules under the coronavirus pandemic. The number of violations issued by the county has been held to a handful, though the great majority of the complaints are in the town of Ramapo. According to the Journal News, the Rockland Health Department has issued 13 violations since enforcement began in March. That’s out of 468 complaints, with the bulk of them, nearly 300, coming from Ramapo, and all 13 alleged violations are also from the town of Ramapo. Violations of county and state laws carry fines of $2,000.
