Meanwhile, a Hudson Valley college is closing parts of its campus for a few days as COVID numbers there are on the rise. More than 120 students at Marist College in Poughkeepsie have been placed into quarantine as part of a campus pause that will be in effect through Tuesday. Students must stay on campus, but if they don’t, they can’t come back until after they supply a negative COVID test.
COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we lost two more to COVID, the total is 909. We’ve got 51 hospitalized confirmed with coronavirus, and 1,986 active cases. Our total case count is 41,546, that’s 207 more than Thursday.
