Hundreds came out Thursday to honor Rockland’s former County Clerk, who died unexpectedly in May last year. And that was legislator Michael Grant followed by Charles Lowther, formerly of the County Clerk’s office. Piperato was a graduate of North Rockland High School and St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, and served as Budget Examiner in the County Finance Department and was elected as Haverstraw Town Councilman.
