An investigation into the home invasion of a local state lawmaker continues in Orangetown, and police are looking for surveillance video or any other eyewitnesses who may have information. Assemblyman John McGowan of the 97th district, covering Orangetown and parts of Ramapo, was awakened by his dogs in the middle of the night last week, and he found three masked men with what appeared to be crowbars in his home. They apparently forcibly entered his home through a window. He chased them out, and they didn’t get anything, but McGowan says he was shaken by the incident…
Anyone who may have video or other information is asked to call the Orangetown Police Department at 845-359-3700. McGowan lost in his re-election bid last month to Ramapo legislator Aron Wieder. McGowan told “The Morning Show” yesterday he has no definitive plans for a future run for office.
