The town of Stony Point is hosting a pre-construction open house tonight to give residents the chance to learn more about the Champlain Hudson Power Express transmission line that’ll eventually be coming through the town to deliver power from Canada to Queens. The CHPE’s developers say attendees will have the chance to ask questions about the construction, location and timeline for the project. George Potanovic heads up the Stony Point Action Committee for the Environment, and he says it’s important for area residents and businesses to come out and hear about how the 340-mile project might impact them…
The meeting is being held tonight from 6-8pm at the Patriot Hills Senior & Community Center, located at 19 Clubhouse Lane in Stony Point.
