The MTA held its fourth public hearing on the Central Business District (CBD) Tolling Program, also known as congestion pricing, from which they took comments from the public and local elected officials on their opinions on the controversial plan. Rockland and other west-of-Hudson and other commuters going south of 60th street in Manhattan are likely going to be paying the most once congestion pricing gets the go-ahead by the end of next year. Reichlin-Melnick suggested new train service on the Tappan Zee Bridge or restored passenger service on the West Shore line as the top two best options to improve commuting from Rockland. The MTA has two remaining online hearings on congestion pricing, one today from 5 to 8pm, and the last from 10am to 1pm tomorrow.
