The MTA late Friday decided not to raise fares on West-of-Hudson commuters. That comes as welcome news as there’s still the specter of congestion pricing waiting in the wings. Rockland County Executive Ed Day is hopeful the MTA will improve and expand regional West-of-Hudson service, specifically on the Pascack Valley line …
Congestion pricing is still out there though, and Day says Rockland voices can affect the structure there as well. The rate that’s being kicked around is $23 just to go below 60th Street in Manhattan. If you think Rockland and other West-of-Hudson commuters deserve a break, Day urges you to call the Manhattan Central Business District Tolling program at 646-252-7440. That number again is 646-252-7440.
