The NYS Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services and SUNY Rockland’s Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse program are hosting a free Naloxone training course tonight at RCC in the Student Union Center from 6 to 8pm. It’s designed for first responders but the course is open to anyone. Participants will learn how to recognize an overdose, what to do during an overdose, how to provide rescue breathing, and how to administer naloxone, also called NARCAN. Participants will also get a free naloxone rescue kit. To attend, RSVP by calling Senator David Carlucci’s office at 845-623-3627.
