A New City man is being held without bail for fatally shooting the general manager of a Haverstraw funeral home where he was formerly employed. 60 year old Gerard O’Sullivan was charged with second-degree murder. He’s accused of confronting Noah Hamer in the rear parking lot of T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home last Thursday evening. O’Sullivan had been shot and wounded by an unidentified civilian with a licensed handgun prior to police arriving on the scene. O’Sullivan was arraigned over the weekend at Westchester Medical Center, where he had been taken for treatment. He is due back in Haverstraw Village Justice Court on Wednesday.
