Rockland County averaged about eight inches or so of snow yesterday, some areas in New City and North Rockland got ten, short of the foot that some were calling for, but it all stopped falling by noon. That incident took place off Kings Highway in Valley Cottage. Nearly all of the 4,342 Orange and Rockland Utilities customers who lost power have been restored as of this morning.
