A new supermarket is coming to Rockland. LoHud.com reported the new 24-hour, seven-day-a-week supermarket called “Garden Fresh Market” is having a soft opening today with a grand opening set for Saturday. The market is located at the former CVS at the corner of Route 45 and Old Nyack Turnpike, across from Chestnut Ridge village hall. The owner, an immigrant from Ecuador who’s been in the U-S since 1995, is a New City resident who also owns the Mount Ivy Diner and several other local markets. The market will reportedly feature many international items from Haiti and Africa, and Spanish products as well.
