New York is opening all state vaccination sites to walk-ins, no appointment necessary, starting tomorrow. Governor Andrew Cuomo said yesterday fewer people are seeking appointments, so vaccination sites have openings for people to get their first shot…
State vaccination rates have dropped from about 175,000 every 24 hours to about 115,000. Possibly to help encourage vaccinations, the governor said fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks outdoors, except in certain crowded settings and venues. The new guidance is based on the CDC’s new suggestions, which note masks should still be worn indoors and by those who are not fully vaccinated.
