Residents of the Clarkstown Central School District will head to the polls in October to vote on a $110 million bond proposal that would fund improvements to various school buildings, including electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. The vote is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th. Superintendent of Schools, Marc Baiocco, says the proposed bond is tax-neutral, so there won’t be additional tax impact on school district residents. If approved, the facility upgrades would take place in all nine elementary schools and the Birchwood School in West Nyack, and construction would start in two years and be finished in the summer of 2031. A separate project would include improvements to Felix Festa Middle School, and both North and South high schools.
