A Pomona toddler was in critical condition after being hit by a car Friday morning. That’s according to News 12. The accident occurred around 9am on Marion Court in Pomona. Haverstraw Police reportedly told News 12 the 19-month-old boy was walking outside when he was hit by the car. The driver stayed on-scene and police are investigating. The driver, so far, has not been charged.
Haverstraw Offers Reward in Recent Homicide
The Town of Haverstraw is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of 18 year-old Yandie Martinez. Haverstraw Police suspect him in the murder of 29 year-old Christian Alvarado, who had crashed his car into a parked car around 4pm July 1st near 9 Fairmount Avenue. He was found on the sidewalk with multiple bullet wounds to his torso. He was treated at the scene and later pronounced dead at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. Haverstraw Police say Martinez should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information should call them at 845-354-1500.
