New Jersey is taking a cue from New York, trying to pass a bill that would make furniture safer. In New Jersey’s version of the bill, furniture sellers would have to post a notice stating furniture can tip over and restraint devices may prevent accidents. Retailers would also have to sell safety fixtures for their furniture.
