COVID is affecting how schools take on the upcoming semester. The East Ramapo school district has become the latest to start with an all-virtual start to the year. Clarkstown, Pearl River and Suffern are doing the same, while South Orangetown, Nanuet and Nyack are using a hybrid approach. North Rockland has yet to announce what they are doing, but they have until tomorrow to submit their plans to the state, and they have their last parent forum session tonight at 7pm.
COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we’ve got five in the hospital being examined, another two have been confirmed with coronavirus. The state says we’ve got 14,067 reported cases, 14 more than yesterday, and the Rockland Health Department confirms 674 fatalities, that’s unchanged for more than three weeks.
