The New York Boulders will play two benefit pre-season games the first weekend of May as they get ready for the 2022 Frontier League campaign. The Boulders will play the FDNY Bravest on Friday, May 6th, and then on May 7th, they go against the NYPD Finest. Each seven-inning game is free, but you have to reserve a ticket at NYBoulders.com. Proceeds from the FDNY match will benefit the family of Jared Lloyd, the Spring Valley volunteer firefighter who was killed in the Evergreen assisted living facility blaze last year. Proceeds from the NYPD game will go to the families of Detectives Jason Rivera and Wilbert Mora, who were killed in the line of duty on Jan. 21st responding to a domestic dispute in Harlem. So, make sure you buy something from the concession stands.
