The New York Boulders played a three-game home series at Clover Stadium in Pomona against the Tri-City ValleyCats. The Boulders lost Friday’s rain-delayed contest, 5-1. Saturday’s game was rained out and postponed to August 16th. On Sunday, the Boulders got a great opportunity to tie the game in the fifth inning with two outs and runners on second and third for left fielder Steve Barmakian…
And that was Garrett Escala with the call on the Boulders Broadcast Network. The Boulders would unfortunately cough-up five runs in the top of the very next inning, and would go on to lose, 8-5. They extended their losing streak to seven games and have fallen to fourth place in the Eastern division, nine games behind Quebec. The Boulders are off today but start a three-game series on the road against the Sussex County Miners tomorrow.
