New York is easing quarantine guidelines per guidance from the Centers for Disease Control. Under the new guidelines, those exposed to COVID-19 can end their quarantine after 10 days without a testing requirement as long as they have no symptoms during the quarantine period. After that, if symptoms develop, they should self-isolate and contact the local health officials. They should also continue to wear masks, do social distancing and avoid gatherings.
COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we lost two more to COVID, the total count stands at 763. We’ve got one hospitalized being examined, another 95 there are confirmed cases, and a total of 2,115 active cases. Overall, we’ve had 26,926 reported cases, 219 more than Tuesday.
