Vigils were held at nursing homes over the Memorial Day weekend across the state demanding added protections for workers and residents. So far in the pandemic, New York nursing homes have seen more than 58-hundred confirmed and probable COVID-19 deaths. The state has confirmed around 365,000 total cases of COVID-19 and more than 23,600 deaths. In Rockland, the state says we’ve got over 13,000 reported cases, and the Rockland Health Department confirms 626 fatalities here in the county.
