The New York State Senate passed a bill yesterday that would name part of Route 45 in Spring Valley after the security guard who was fatally stabbed earlier this year at the Finkelstein Memorial Library after she asked a man to turn down his music. Senator David Carlucci sponsored the bill that would re-name the road the Sandra L. Wilson Memorial Highway…
Wilson began at the library as a clerk in 2011, got her security guard certification two years ago and was promoted to full-time Security Aide last year. The bill also passed in the Assembly and just needs the governor’s signature to become law. 25-year-old Blanchard Glaudin is charged with her murder.
