The New York Attorney General’s Office won’t be filing criminal charges against Rockland County corrections officers over the death of man in their custody nearly two years ago. The A-G’s report into the death of Ferdy Jacinto-Martinez said it was tragic but there wasn’t enough evidence to warrant criminal charges. Patch.com says Jacinto-Martinez was arrested July 20th, 2019 by the Spring Valley Police Department and transferred to the Rockland County jail the next day. A few days later, officers needed to restrain Jacinto-Martinez after he started acting erratically. He was transferred to Nyack Hospital, became unresponsive, then was taken to another hospital in Englewood, New Jersey, a few days later, where he died.
