New York’s Attorney General has opened an investigation into the alleged murder-suicide involving a New City family just before New Years’ Day. Attorney General Letitia James is required by law to look into every fatal incident that involves a law enforcement officer. James said the Clarkstown Police Department received a call from the Bronxville Police Department early Saturday morning asking for a wellness check at the New City home of Watson Morgan, a Bronxville Police Sergeant. He failed to show up for his 11:30 shift Friday night. Clarkstown police went to his home and found the 49 year-old Morgan appeared to have killed his wife, 43 year-old Ornela, and their children, 12-year-old Gabriel and 10-year-old Liam by apparently shooting them in the head before turning the weapon on himself.
