New York’s commissioner of health yesterday submitted his letter of resignation. Dr. Howard Zucker has come under fire lately for possibly helping the former governor hide the true coronavirus death toll in nursing homes and keeping other data from the Legislature. Governor Kathy Hochul said during her news conference Thursday Zucker will stay on until the position is filled. Hochul also reminded health care workers they must get vaccinated by Monday, noting that New Yorkers have the right to know that they won’t be infected by the person responsible for their health. Hochul also launched a new initiative with the NFL’s Giants, Jets and Buffalo Bills to encourage New Yorkers to get the shot…
Former Giants linebacker Carl Banks was on hand to support the governor’s effort…
Now, if you got your first shot before September 9th, you’re not eligible for this promotion. Only those New Yorkers who got their first shot between the 9th and the 24th of October qualify.
