Despite concerns and whispers that they may get called back, one area state lawmaker is thinking they may not return to the state capital for a special session. The legislative season ended over a month ago, but the thought was congestion pricing and other issues might have required emergency attention. Assemblyman John McGowan of the 97th district, covering Orangetown and portions of Ramapo, says right now, it appears a trip to Albany isn’t in the cards…
And while we’re on the subject of congestion pricing, the city of Boston is considering putting in a similar plan, but they’re only in the discussion phase and critics are urging lawmakers there to take it slowly.
