No major injuries were reported after a fire struck a nursing home in Orange County early Sunday morning. DailyVoice.com says dozens of elderly and disabled residents were evacuated around 1:30AM from the Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center on Kienan Road in the town of Hamptonburgh. Emergency responders reportedly found thick, black smoke pouring from the first-floor recreation room. Three residents were rescued by firefighters, one other had been evacuated. One suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Many residents were re-located to another nursing facility. The incident is under investigation.
