The town of Orangetown is adding some water fountains to a popular path that’s used heavily by area runners, cyclists and pedestrians. Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny says the $50,000 in state grants thanks to Rockland Assemblyman John McGowan of the 97th district, will bring water refilling stations to the Sparkill rail-trail…
McGowan says the water features at the pet-friendly paths aren’t only for people…
Those water fountains are expected to be installed sometime next year. The grants will also supply shade structures at the town’s pickleball courts and several parks around town.
