The County Executive isn’t happy that Stony Point’s most infamous killer was released on parole last week. Ed Day said the parole board, similarly to the Brinks cases, did not notify him that Bernard LeGeros, the son of a United Nations official, convicted in the 1985 S&M murder of 26-year-old fashion model Eigil Dag Vesti, was set free on Thursday…
Stony Point Supervisor Jim Monaghan told “The Morning Show” Thursday the parole board also didn’t notify or seek input from the lead detective on the case. Monaghan thinks the family still owns the home in town where the murder occurred. Vesti’s decomposing body was found with a leather mask covering his face months after he disappeared. LeGeros had claimed his Manhattan art dealer employer, Andrew Crispo, orchestrated the night of S&M sex and murder. LeGeros had confessed to shooting Vesti in the head, and Crispo was never charged in the case.
